The Spyderco ARK, short for Always Ready Knife, is a compact fixed blade designed by John Shirley and Sam Owens. Spyderco describes the ARK for both lightweight self-defense carry and daily utility use, with a 2.56 in PlainEdge H-2 steel blade in a compact 4.98 in overall package.

The blade is hollow ground, with a 2.10 in cutting edge and a thickness of 0.080 in. Its black fiberglass-reinforced nylon handle is molded directly onto the tang and uses Spyderco’s Bi-Directional Texture pattern. The knife itself weighs 0.9 oz, keeping the fixed blade notably light relative to its overall size.

For carry, the ARK includes an injection-molded polymer sheath with an integral retention tab and a breakaway ball chain for neck carry. The sheath weighs 1.2 oz, bringing the combined knife-and-sheath weight to 2.1 oz. This FB35PBK configuration is made in Japan and uses H-2 steel, FRN handle construction, and a polymer sheath.
