Description

The Perko 8503DP Medium Duty Battery Selector Switch provides dependable battery selection for marine electrical systems operating from 6 to 32 volts. Its polycarbonate body and brass terminals are designed for onboard durability, while ignition-protected construction supports use in demanding marine environments.

The switch is rated for 250 amps continuous and 360 amps intermittent for five minutes. A 5/16-inch terminal stud size accommodates heavy battery-cable connections, and the 5-1/4-inch diameter housing provides a familiar round selector-switch format.

When used with non-unitized alternators, the switch interrupts field current if turned off while the engine is running, helping reduce the possibility of alternator damage.
