This modified clip point blade blank is a 9.25 in overall full-tang starting point with a 4.75 in stainless blade. That size gives the finished knife enough cutting length for field and utility work while still leaving a practical handle section for a custom build.

The modified clip point creates a defined working tip without the exaggerated sweep of a traditional Bowie. Its full-tang construction lets the maker mount scales directly to the steel, and the finger-grooved handle area already establishes the basic contour of the finished grip.

The handle section begins with a brass finger guard and ends with a lanyard hole, two details already built into the blank before scales are fitted. Those built-in details reduce the number of separate components needed before the builder begins fitting scales and finishing the handle.
