Description

The Mastervolt Mac Plus 24/12-50 is a professional DC-DC charger designed to solve the charging problems created by modern smart alternators, start-stop systems, and long cable runs. It takes power from a 24V source and delivers a controlled 12V charging output to a service battery, helping ensure that the house bank receives a complete charge without allowing the starter battery to be unintentionally drained.

Mastervolt’s proven 3-Step+ charging algorithm supports flooded, gel, AGM, spiral, lithium-ion, traction, and user-defined battery profiles, including LiFePO4 systems. Engine-run detection allows the charger to recognize when charging power is available, while temperature compensation and voltage sensing help maintain the correct charging voltage at the battery. The fanless aluminum housing is designed for silent operation in harsh environments, and the unit can also function as a stabilized DC power supply for sensitive loads.

Mac Plus supports MasterBus, CZone, and NMEA 2000 for system monitoring and automation. Configuration can be handled through MasterAdjust, CZone tools, or onboard DIP switches. Multiple units can be connected in parallel when higher charging capacity is needed, and the design includes overload, over-temperature, short-circuit, and reverse-polarity protection.
