This Fireboy-Xintex Dual Channel Gasoline Fume Detector with Blower Control monitors two separate areas simultaneously, an engine compartment and a fuel tank storage area, or any two spots where gasoline fumes might accumulate. It runs on 9 to 30V DC, drawing 55mA nominally and up to 150mA at peak, and both an audible and visual alarm fire the moment LEL (Lower Explosive Level) presence is detected. Beyond just alerting you, it automatically activates the bilge blower to help clear the fumes.

The alarm horn puts out 68 dB, loud enough to actually get your attention, and the square black-bezel display measures 2-5/8 by 2-5/8 inches, fitting a 2-1/8-inch round cutout. It’s rated to operate from -40°F to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C), so temperature extremes in an engine bay won’t cause false readings or failures.
