Designed by Ken Onion, the CRKT Counterpart Black Tanto takes Onion’s ergonomic approach and applies it to a compact, everyday folding knife.

The tanto blade is made from D2 carbon steel, a well-regarded steel chosen for its balance of edge retention, toughness and easy maintenance. A black Teflon coating helps the blade move cleanly through material while offering added corrosion resistance and reduced glare. Opening is via a subtle thumb ramp, keeping the profile streamlined without sacrificing control.

The glass-filled nylon handle is lightweight yet durable, sitting comfortably in the hand and staying unobtrusive in the pocket. With a straightforward locking mechanism and no unnecessary extras, the Counterpart Black Tanto is an everyday working tool.
