The Blue Sea Systems 7140 is a 60 amp surface mount breaker from the 187 Series, fitting to the face of a panel or bulkhead instead of through a cutout. That makes it the choice where you cannot get behind the mounting surface, or where the surface is too thick or too structural to cut.

The mechanism is a thermally responsive bi-metal blade with interrupt capacity of 5,000 amperes at 12 volts DC, 3,000 at 24 and 1,500 at 42. Voltage rating is 48 volts DC and operating temperature runs from -25°C to +82°C. Class is Type III, switchable with manual reset and trip free.

Switching and protection are combined in one unit with single lever operation, and the lever shows trip status by its orientation. Recessed mounting holes, 5/16 terminals with clearance for heavy gauge lugs, thermoset polyester case, waterproof, and SAE J1171 ignition protected for gasoline powered boats.
