Blue Sea 7048 150A 187-Series Panel Mount Breaker

Description

The Blue Sea Systems 7048 is a 150 amp panel mount breaker in the 187 Series, built around a thermally responsive bi-metal blade. Voltage rating is 48 volts DC with interrupt capacity of 5,000 amperes at 12V, 3,000 at 24V and 1,500 at 42V.

The panel mount case is self-trimming, which removes the need for a mounting panel or trim bezel behind it. The case is round, so installation is a matter of cutting one hole with a standard hole saw rather than making a rectangular cutout and finishing the edges. On a fibreglass console that difference is an hour of work.

Switching and circuit protection are combined in one device with clear single lever operation, and the lever’s vertical or horizontal position shows trip status at a glance. It is waterproof, the case is thermoset polyester, and all components meet SAE J1171 external ignition protection requirements for gasoline powered boats.
