Balmar Serpentine Pulley Kit for Yanmar 6LY Engines

Description

The Balmar AltMount Serpentine Pulley Conversion Kit is designed for Yanmar 6LY-series diesel engines, including the 6LY, 6LYA-STP, and 6LY2-STP. It converts the engine accessory drive to a J10 ten-groove serpentine arrangement, providing the additional belt contact and power-transfer capability often needed when upgrading to a high-output alternator.

The kit includes three matching ten-groove J10 pulleys so the alternator and engine drive components can operate on the same belt profile. Two 55-inch-circumference J10 belts are supplied, allowing one to be installed and the second carried as a ready spare.

Mounting hardware is included to support the engine-specific conversion. Using a matched pulley kit helps maintain proper belt alignment and avoids the compromise of mixing pulley diameters, groove profiles, or improvised spacers when increasing alternator capacity.

Installations using an AT-200A alternator may require a longer belt than the standard 55-inch length included.
