Xantrex Solar Starter Cable Kit for PV Arrays

Description

The Xantrex Solar Starter Cable Kit provides the primary cabling needed to connect a photovoltaic array to a solar charge controller and then connect the controller to the battery bank. The weather-resistant, certified cable set is designed to simplify a small solar installation by providing terminated PV and battery leads instead of requiring the installer to build each cable from bulk wire.

The kit includes one red and one black 20-foot MC4-type PV cable for the panel side of the system and one red and one black 10-foot battery cable for the controller-to-battery connection. Built-in ferrule terminations on both cable sets help simplify connection at the charge controller.

The battery cables include ring terminals for the battery connection, and the positive lead incorporates a 30A DC ATC fuse. That integrated fuse provides overcurrent protection close to the battery-side connection while reducing the number of separate components that must be sourced for installation.
