Description

The Victron Orion 24/12-80 IP20 DC-DC Converter provides up to 80 amps of 12V output from a 24V electrical system. It is designed for marine, vehicle, commercial, and off-grid installations that need substantial 12V power for electronics, lighting, pumps, controls, or a separate 12V battery within an otherwise 24V system.

A remote on/off connection allows the converter to be controlled by a low-power switch or an engine run/stop signal, eliminating the need to route the converter’s full input current through a large control switch. The adjustable-output design can also be used as a battery charger when properly configured, such as maintaining a 12V starter or accessory battery from a 24V system.

When one 80A converter is not enough, as many as five compatible units can be connected in parallel to increase total output current. That expandability allows the same basic converter platform to support much larger 12V loads without redesigning the entire source system.
