Description

The Victron MultiPlus 12/1200 50-16 combines a true sine wave inverter, adaptive battery charger, and high-speed transfer switch in one compact unit. It is designed for 12V systems that need automatic transition between battery power and shore or generator AC without installing separate inverter and charger components.

PowerControl allows the installer to limit the current drawn from a generator or shore connection so other AC loads are considered before battery charging. PowerAssist goes a step further by supplementing a limited external source with battery power when short-term load demand exceeds the available supply.

The charger uses a four-stage adaptive strategy and also provides a separate trickle-charge output for a starter battery. High start-up capability helps the inverter handle loads such as power converters, lamps, and tools with higher inrush demand.
