Victron Lynx Smart BMS 500 for Lithium Smart Batteries

Description

The Victron Lynx Smart BMS 500 is a dedicated battery-management system for Victron Lithium Smart batteries and serves as the protection and control hub for a modular Lynx-based lithium installation. It combines a 500A high-current contactor, battery monitoring, pre-alarm capability, Bluetooth setup and diagnostics, and integration with Victron GX equipment in one compact assembly.

The built-in 500A contactor acts as a secondary safety mechanism if normal charging or load controls do not shut equipment down when a battery protection limit is reached. It can also function as a remotely controllable main system switch. Before a low-cell condition forces a shutdown, the pre-alarm output can provide an advance warning so the operator has time to reduce loads or restore charging.

An integrated battery monitor tracks state of charge and other battery information, while Bluetooth connectivity allows setup and monitoring through the VictronConnect app. Local and remote system visibility can also be provided through a compatible GX device such as the Cerbo GX, making the BMS part of a larger onboard monitoring and control network.

Because the Lynx Smart BMS is part of Victron’s modular Lynx distribution architecture, it can be integrated with other Lynx components for organized high-current DC distribution and lithium battery management.
