Description

The Victron Filax 2 is an ultra-fast AC transfer switch designed to move sensitive electronic loads between two AC power sources with minimal interruption. It is intended for equipment such as computers, communications electronics, and modern entertainment systems that may reset or shut down if a conventional transfer switch takes too long to change sources.

The primary source is typically shore power, utility power, or a generator, while the alternate source is commonly an inverter. When the preferred source becomes unavailable, the Filax 2 transfers the connected load in less than 20 milliseconds. That short switching interval allows many sensitive loads to continue operating without a noticeable interruption.

This model supports 110V at 50Hz and 120V at 60Hz systems. It is designed for relatively sensitive loads rather than large household equipment, and it should not be used to supply high-power appliances such as washing machines or electric motors.
