Description

The SmartPlug Dual SmartPlug Cordset gives boaters the SmartPlug connection system on both the vessel and pedestal sides of the shore power connection. Instead of upgrading only the boat side and continuing to rely on a legacy dockside connector, this cordset creates a complete SmartPlug-to-SmartPlug path between the marina pedestal and the boat.

SmartPlug’s multi-point locking system uses side clips to secure the connector body into the inlet so movement of the cord does not place the same twisting or pulling force directly on the electrical contacts. Silicone gaskets inside the plug body help prevent water penetration when the connector is fully engaged, which is important in marinas where rain, spray, humidity, and repeated connecting and disconnecting are part of normal use.

Each marine cord uses tinned conductors to help resist corrosion in damp and salt-laden environments. The female connector also incorporates red and blue LED indicators that provide a quick visual check of incoming power and help identify a reverse-polarity condition before relying on the shore connection.
