Description

The Schrade Decimate Sawback Machete has a black oxide 3Cr13 blade with a serrated sawback spine, a full tang and a black rubber handle.

The sawback is the feature to understand here, with the spine opposite the cutting edge cut into coarse teeth, so one tool both clears brush with the main edge and bucks through seasoned limbs with the saw. On green vegetation the machete edge is faster; on dry wood the saw does what a chopping edge cannot.
