Description

The Samlex three-bank charger is a compact automatic charging solution for 12V battery systems that need to maintain several separate banks from one AC source. Its switch-mode design is built for high efficiency and quiet operation, making it useful aboard boats, in recreational vehicles, at communications sites, and in battery backup systems where space and dependable continuous service matter.

The charging algorithm can be switched between two-stage and three-stage operation to match the way the batteries are being used. Three-stage charging is suited to normal stand-alone battery recovery, while the two-stage setting is useful when batteries remain connected to a DC load. The charger can also serve as a regulated power supply or work as part of a DC UPS installation. Multiple banks can be charged at the same time without adding a separate isolator, and the front-panel voltmeter, ammeter, and LED power status provide useful operating feedback.

Samlex’s Universal Protection Circuit protects against short circuits, overload conditions, and reverse battery polarity.
