Rough Rider 777 Smooth Tobacco Bone Trapper Knife

Description

The Rough Rider 777 Smooth Tobacco Bone Trapper Knife is a classic two-blade pattern, pairing a stainless clip blade with a stainless spey blade, set in a smooth tobacco-colored bone handle with nickel silver bolsters and an inlay shield.

The trapper is one of the most enduring patterns in American cutlery history, and the clip blade here handles general everyday cutting with versatility, while the spey blade’s flatter edge and rounded tip is purpose-built for detail work and skinning tasks a pointed blade handles less cleanly, a pairing that has kept the trapper in production for well over a century. Smooth tobacco bone gives the handle a warm, rich brown tone distinct from lighter bone colorways, developing character over years of handling. Nickel silver bolsters add durability at the pivot points along with distinctive shine against the bone, and the inlay shield adds collector-grade detailing.

Opening is by nail nick, the way these have always worked, and each blade is retained by a slip joint that works on spring tension rather than a mechanical lock. Rough Rider’s trapper pattern remains one of its most popular, a proven classic that’s earned its solid reputation across generations of everyday carry, hunting, and collecting alike.
