Newmar 32-12-15 DC Converter, 20-50V to 12V

Description

The Newmar 32-12-15 DC Converter converts a 20-50V DC source to regulated 12V power for communication, navigation, and other equipment in negative-ground systems. It is well suited to vessels and specialty vehicles that use a higher-voltage primary DC bus but still need dependable 12V power for conventional electronics.

The converter provides up to 15A continuous output with a nominal 13.6V setting that can be internally adjusted from approximately 12.6V to 14.5V. Regulation is maintained within 1% under rated line and load conditions, ripple is limited to about 150mV peak-to-peak, and typical efficiency is approximately 85%.

Large heat-sink fins dissipate semiconductor heat, while the conformally coated circuit board, corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum case, and heavy-duty shock mounts help protect the electronics in harsh marine and mobile environments. Protection includes current limiting, automatic thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, reverse-polarity protection, and over-voltage protection.

The converter carries the CE mark and can be configured for supported battery-charging or parallel-redundant operation when properly derated.
