This knife was presented at the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris, where it won a silver medal, and soon became known as the coltello Duca degli Abruzzi — a popular model produced by several cutlers in Maniago.

Continuing this proud heritage, Mercury, a renowned Maniago knife maker established in 1950, has reimagined the traditional design with modern technology and materials.
