Description

The Mastervolt Charge Mate Pro 40 electronically manages charging between two battery banks while limiting current to the secondary bank. It is designed for systems where the starter or primary battery should receive charging priority before excess current is shared with a service, bow-thruster, or auxiliary bank.

The solid-state design provides very low voltage drop and automatically blocks reverse current, preventing a higher-voltage secondary battery from feeding back toward the primary bank. By limiting secondary-bank charge current to 40A, the Charge Mate Pro can also reduce power dips in the onboard electrical system.

The unit supports multiple battery chemistries, including lithium, and can be used with alternators or battery chargers. LED status indication provides local monitoring, while the IP65 electronics and corrosion-resistant housing support marine installation. Remote On, Off, Auto, and Start Assist functions provide additional control when integrated with an appropriate switch.
