Fox Baby Core Folding Knife

Description

The Fox Baby Core is another cracking little folder from the genius knife designer Jesper Voxnæs. It is a compact folder that nevertheless fills the hand and with enough character and functionality to be your next favourite EDC knife. The blade is under three inches and non-locking so can be carried in the UK with a degree of confidence. 

The blade differs from the original as Fox bring in Hybrid Cryo steel, a new Böhler-Uddeholm steel developed in collaboration with Midgards Messer. The “Cryo” refers to the cryogenic treatment used as part of the recommended heat-treatment process. After hardening, the steel is cooled to extremely low temperatures to convert more retained austenite into martensite. Resulting in improved hardness, dimensional stability and wear resistance.

It’s razor sharp out of the box with comfortable one handed opening and a reverse tanto/drop point form to maximise cutting capability. The handle borrows elements from the Fox Vox Core fixed blade and is extremely solid, very strong and made from FRN. The partial backspine is anodised aluminium to contrast the choice of handle colour
