Description

The Blue Sea 7650 Add-A-Battery Management Kit simplifies a two-battery boat by combining battery switching and automatic charging management in one matched system. It is designed for installations with separate engine-start and house banks where the owner wants the start battery protected from domestic loads without manually changing switch positions every time the engine runs.

The Dual Circuit Plus battery switch controls the engine and house circuits while keeping the two banks isolated during normal operation. If extra starting power is needed, the switch can combine both battery banks for emergency starting. This provides a simple operating pattern without the multiple positions and charging decisions associated with a traditional selector switch.

The included 120A SI Automatic Charging Relay detects charging voltage and automatically combines the banks so both batteries can receive charge. When charging ends, the relay separates the banks again, preserving the starting reserve. For boats adding a dedicated house battery or replacing a manual two-bank setup, the 7650 Add-A-Battery kit provides a coordinated switching and charging solution.
