Blue Sea 3119 Surface Mount 50A ELCI Panel Enclosure

Description

The Blue Sea Systems 3119 is a surface mount enclosure built around a 120/240V AC 50A ELCI main, with one blank position left open beside it. Fifty amp shore service puts more through the main than a 30A hookup does, and this is the housing sized for it. Mount it within 10 feet of the inlet and it meets ABYC E-11.

This model publishes more detail than most, which helps if it is going somewhere unheated or exposed. Rated operating range is -35°C to 66°C. Cover screws and hardware are 10-32 stainless, mounting takes 1/4 inch diameter 12 fasteners, and the unit weighs 7 pounds. Put a proper backing plate behind it rather than trusting a thin bulkhead skin.

The mounting box is glass filled polycarbonate. The cover is clear and overlaps the base, sealing on an oversized polyurethane gasket formed in place. The stainless hinge pin is removable and the stainless latch closes the cover without going through the housing wall. That blank position takes Carling Technologies A and C Series flat rocker or ELCI main breakers. LEDs handle backlighting and ON indication. Stainless mounting hardware, five waterproof glands, labels and the instruction manual are included. The enclosure measures 6 by 6 by 4 inches, 7.6 by 7.4 by 4.7 overall.
