Description

The Balmar 60 Series 100A Saddle Mount Alternator provides a 12V high-output charging upgrade for marine engines using a 3.15-inch dual-foot Hitachi-style mount. With a 100-amp output rating, it is well suited to vessels that need more charging capacity than a typical factory alternator can provide for house banks, electronics, refrigeration, pumps, and other onboard electrical loads.

This version uses a single deep-V pulley, making it appropriate for installations that retain a compatible V-belt drive rather than converting to a serpentine system. The isolated-ground electrical design separates the alternator ground path from the case, which can be important in certain marine electrical systems and corrosion-control strategies.

The 3.15-inch saddle-mount configuration is commonly found on Yanmar, Westerbeke, Lehman, and Perkins-Sabre engines.
