The Ancor Black 8 AWG Tinned Copper Wire provides marine-grade wiring for DC-negative, grounding, charging, and higher-current accessory circuits. Tinned copper stranding helps protect the conductor against corrosion and electrolysis in damp and saltwater environments.

Ultra-flexible Type 3 construction improves routing through battery compartments, machinery spaces, and electrical panels while helping the wire resist fatigue from vibration and repeated flexing. Ancor’s premium vinyl insulation stays flexible in extreme cold and resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline, ultraviolet exposure, heat, and abrasion.

The insulation is rated for 600V, 105°C dry, and 75°C wet service. Ancor states that its Marine Grade wire exceeds UL 1426, ABYC, and applicable US Coast Guard charter-boat requirements.
